Automation Engineer

Responsibilities for the Automation Engineer include:

  • Program High Speed Robotics Systems
  • Electrical Documentation & design
  • Commission systems with final test personnel
  • Remote customer support
  • Field customer support
  • Document operation sequence of program
  • Reports to Controls Engineering manager

Requirements of the Automation Engineer include:

  • 5 years’ control systems engineering and industrial automation
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, industrial communication networks and motion control, as well as IEC1131 programming
  • Proficient in traditional control system disciplines of sensing, machine intelligence, and actuation, including the ability to engineer solutions for unexpected problems on short notice
  • Experience with multi axis robots very desirable
  • Omron Sysmac Studio experience will be considered valuable (Beckhoff Twincat 2 & 3)
  • A Bachelor of Science degree is helpful, preferably in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 20-25% annual travel is a requirement.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced office environment and manufacturing floor.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
